Are you aware of the 1095c reporting rules for New Jersey residents and NJ-based companies that is due to employees on MARCH 2, 2021?
Due to the Individual mandate that the state exchanges have put into place, the following should file the the 1095c-NJ Form: any company based in New Jersey; and/or any out of state company that employs New Jersey residents.
While the actual form has yet to be released, it is called the NJ 1095c form. It is an electronic form. In the interim, employers can use the IRS 1095c form. To file the information, employers can complete parts 1 and 3 of the form . Part 3 contains the “individual listing of the employee in question.
To file, employers should visit the Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services “DORES” website. Everything is done electronically.
Employers need to furnish the information to employees by 3/2/2021. They also must file with the New Jersey Division of Taxation by 3/31/2021.
